Welcome to The Valley Church! We love guests!
Thank you for joining us today. Every person was a guest at one time and we know coming to a new church can be intimidating. You are our guest and we want you to feel at home!
● Help yourself to coffee or tea from the coffee bar and feel free to bring it with you to your seat.
● As we sing, feel free to stand, sit, sing along or simply listen.
● Please fill out the Connection Card as you register and drop it by our Welcome Counter after the service. We would love to say hello and offer you a gift and cookies.
● We receive an offering but do not pass offering plates at The Valley Church. Joy Boxes are located in the back of the worship center or if you prefer to give online download The Valley App by texting "TVCAPP" to 77977 or visit thevalley.church. As our guest, please do not feel pressured - simply enjoy the service and follow God’s leading in your life.
Parent Paging System – If your child should need you during a worship service, the security number from your guardian receipt will flash on the LED screen on the front, right wall. If you see your number, please come to the Valley Kids building and someone will assist you. Thanks!
Parents with Small Children - We really appreciate it when you use our excellent nurseries & preschool. Changing tables are located in the men and women’s restrooms. There are spaces for nursing mothers in the West Venue restroom and East Venue prayer room as needed.
New Sermon Series coming August 25 – All In To Go All Out
The Book of Acts is the real story of what happened after Jesus rose from the grave and ascended into heaven. It reveals a resurrected Jesus sending the Holy Spirit to be with us and empowering his followers to spread the good news that salvation had come for everyone. However, The Book of Acts is more than just history. It is meant to compel each of us to be passionate witnesses for Christ until He returns. During this four-week series, you will discover what it means to be All In to Go All Out as we unpack the lessons learned from the early church that we can apply to revolutionize our church today.
We are building a baptism team! Would you like to explore what it means to be part of this team at the Valley? Let us know by texting the word baptismtvc to 555888 or contact Pastor Peter. We will contact you to share more about this way of serving at The Valley.
Live Out Loud this Summer in Ignite (Grades 6-12)
Teens, we have a service just for you! Check out Ignite Sundays at 11 am in the East Venue Gym. We play crazy games, you’ll make new friends, hear great messages and so much more. You aren't going to want to miss it! There is a place for you in Ignite!
Journey Through Grief- A Group Experience
It is often said that each journey begins with a single step. This is certainly true of a grief journey. We invite you to begin attending the “Journey through Grief” group every other Tuesday evening here at The Valley at 6:30 pm. The next meeting will be on August 20th. Childcare is available and each group is "self - contained" so there is no need to worry about missing one. You will find help and encouragement whenever you choose to begin. Questions? Contact Bonnie Dickey at email@example.com
Help One of Our Honduras Partner Churches
As part of The Valley Church’s ten-year partnership with the Honduran church in Northern Honduras, we are working alongside them to build a pastoral training center and construct 5 church building for new & growing congregations by 2023. The goal is to train and develop new pastors and then come alongside them to launch new churches that will reach new people. The ultimate goal is to see lives changed by Christ! The training center and the church buildings in La Ceiba and Saba are completed (including houses for the pastors). Building projects have been started in Miramar and La Confianza with the resources we have given. Great relationships have been created and the church there is encouraged!
La Confianaza is a growing church with young families that is quickly running out of space. We initially provided $5,000 for a bigger meeting space and they have multiplied that through their own giving to construct the foundation and walls (this is the project our team focused on during our last short-term mission trip). With another $25,000 we can complete this project, making room for lots more young families. The good news is that someone has committed $12,500 of the remaining funds! So all that is needed is to match those funds and the church building can be finished. If you want to be part of this great effort and want to help us reach the $12,500 needed to finish the project just use the TVC App or click Give on the web page and select La Confianza. If we all do something - we can help this congregation change their city!
Canoeing at Barefoot Canoe – August 17
For teens who have completed grades 6 -12. Enjoy a day on the river, Saturday, August 17, at Barefoot Canoe in West Milton. Teens will enjoy a trip down the river in canoes and kayaks, with one another, followed by dinner at Fox’s Pizza Den. All teens will meet at The Valley Church at 1:45 pm to travel to Barefoot Canoe together. We plan to canoe from 3-5 pm, eat dinner together and return to the church by 8:30 pm but we will have teen’s text parents with an exact time of arrival that day. Life Group Leader Training
Acts 2:46 says of the disciples, “Day by day they continued meeting together in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house.” When the Spirit came upon the people, transformation happened. The disciples became one in Christ. After this event they continued to meet together in the Jerusalem temple. But they also met together in smaller groups – in homes. We want to raise up leaders to do the exact same thing! Will you be one of them? Join us for Life Group Leader Training 101 - Wednesday, August 14 at 6:45 pm.
